Hi friends, I have been getting some messages and comments asking where I have been and I figured I should post a quick note to address my absence. First off, I apologize there were no new cakes this year. The plain truth is that I just needed a meaningful break. As much as I love my channel, I have been decorating cakes for nearly a decade and it just lost its luster for me, and I felt extremely burnt out and uninspired. I wasn't happy with the quality of cakes I was making and I realized I just needed to step away before cake decorating became something I actually disliked doing. This break is much needed and I hope to return in 2023 refreshed and ready to post some new content. Thank you all for the sweet messages and for checking in on me, I sincerely appreciate you and the support you have given to me and this channel.

You guys are seriously the best ❤️❤️. I was not expecting such a kind response to my latest video and I guess I just really needed to take a step back and not be so rough on myself! I'm my own worst critic, but like one of you lovely people said in the comments, I hope it does encourage some of you cakers out there to go beyond your comfort zone and try something challenging . I'm at a point now with my cakes that I feel like they have to be perfect, which is really just an unreasonable expectation that I put on myself so I obviously need to loosen the reigns a bit. Hopefully this also helps anyone out there who feels like they are lacking in skills or experience, because I still struggle with those same feelings and I think it's completely normal even at a "professional" level. Just keep on caking my friends 💪. Thank you again for the support and encouragement, your kindness totally turned my poopy attitude around 💙💙

Hello friends. I'm so sorry there was no video last week. If you saw my last post, you'll know that our little Weiner dog was having some serious health issues and I am so sad to update that we are preparing ourselves to say goodbye. I will do my best to post a video this week but I am taking each day moment by moment so I am going to see how I feel and not push myself. I just wanted to thank everyone who left such kind comments on my last post, or reached out to me on Instagram and Facebook. I sincerely appreciate your thoughts and support and I wish I had a happier update💔. Cuddle your fur babies extra tight today.
I know I've been using my community tab a lot lately but I really enjoy interacting with you all this way so I hope you don't mind😊. Just wanted to touch base that videos will be coming out later in the week at this point (Thursday-Saturday) and I will do my best not to miss an upload. Our little Weiner dog Lolly had to be rushed to the vet last week for sudden paralysis so we are currently trying to navigate this very emotional rollercoaster ride. I am going to be putting out a few easier cakes but the Nutcracker was the winner of my last cake poll and I WILL be making one, it just may not be my next cake video. Thank you all so much for commenting and voting and just being a part of this little cake community.
