Hello friends - I’m catching my breath, rediscovering the fun of treating videos as a hobby, and living the truly busy yet fulfilling life of a small business owner. Some of you have probably caught on, but @christinescookie is becoming a full-time gig for me, and I’m loving it! Surrounding myself with other small businesses, artists, and creatives has been a true joy of mine through this entrepreneurial journey, and I’m constantly inspired by the work happening around me.
Videos are in the pipeline (one should be coming out by Earth Day, I promise) but I wanted to invite you to join me for some Earth Month related activities if you’re based in the Bay Area, or happen to be around. This is the first year that I’m piloting volunteering events co-hosted by @christinescookie and other nonprofits in the area, and I’ll also be doing an in-person zero waste workshop later this month after not having done a public one in quite a while!
So if you’re down to volunteer with me, join a workshop, or find me at a cookie pop up, I’d love to see you. Getting out into community has been one of my goals to further my hopes for a healthier, more sustainable planet, and I encourage you to join me and some of my bakers at an upcoming event. Hello friends - Christine here, long time no see (:
While I’ve been keeping busy this holiday season baking cookies with my lovely team over at @christinescookie , I’ve also been working behind the scenes with @allbirds to create a special sustainable holiday gifting event. Join me in San Francisco this Sunday, 12/18 from 12 - 4 PM at Allbirds Hayes Valley for some sustainable holiday shopping, gift wrapping, garland making, and mini cookies (made by yours truly). Come early if you can, and I hope to meet some of you this upcoming Sunday!
Can’t make it to the event but intrigued by delicious, all-organic cookies? This is the last week we’ll be shipping our cookies nationwide for the holiday season. Our cookies are baked fresh and shipped the same day, all in plastic-free packaging. We hope some of you will be able to experience the joy and cheer of our delicious cookies, and I genuinely appreciate so many of you coming out to support me at many pop ups throughout the Bay Area!

Running a small business has changed me.
Christine's Cookie Co. officially turned one year old last November, and as I took time to reflect during this very busy holiday season, I realized how many changes I've gone through as a person. I wouldn't say the changes are bad, and I do feel that my foundational principles of simple living and sustainability will be the same, but my life has become all the more complicated as I learn the ins and outs of running a bakery business.
While 2015 - 2020 was a time of restructuring and recovery with my mental health, I feel as though this business is giving me a new, somewhat crazy, fun-filled life ahead. This most likely means that my content will evolve as my lifestyle does as well, as change is inevitable with every individual as we go through seasons of life. I share some of the latest cookie happenings and reflections on today's vlog, which is the last video of the year as I look forward to taking a break, and you can find the link below.
