Summertime ☀️

I thought I'll make a little post wishing everyone a nice summer. I have never been good with strict continuity with my uploads to the channel. Sometimes I'll upload 5 albums in one week and sometimes I upload 5 albums in one month. So in other words, the algorithm will rarely be nice to me. But that is fine, I don't really care about that stuff. The goal for me is to enjoy the ride, which means spending time listening and searching for new music then sharing it with you lovely people. I have no goals to rush things just to please the algorithm. I think the whole thing would lose its charm if I would focus on a certain number of views or daily uploads or whatever. I love spending time with everything around 'Underrated Albums' but I will only spend that time when I feel I have it. If I have 30 mins to kill while heating up a lasagna in the oven, that won't do it for me if I wanna listen to a new album. I want to dedicate serious time to that.

So with that said, 'Underrated Albums' is the coolest shit I've done in my life and I still love doing it.

I can proudly say that the Spotify playlist 'Endless Mixtape for Open Minds' has been updated with 29 fresh tracks. One track from each album I uploaded on the YouTube channel since late update. You'll find them at the top of the list. I added them in an order I think worked out but you can just blast that whole list on shuffle, so much good and interesting music there. If you find some bands/artists you like there, give them a follow, go and see a show or buy some merch. By supporting them, you make me a happy camper.

*SPOTIFY UPDATE*

Greetings people,
Haven't added any tracks to my Spotify playlist 'Endless Mixtape for Open Minds' since November so it was about time some new tracks made an entrance. So, if you don't know, this is a playlist where I add one track from every album I upload on the YT channel. Everytime I make an update I'll put the latest tracks on top of the list. This time we got 23 new tracks with a playtime of 2 hours and 19 minutes.

Be a superstar and follow the bands, artists, musicians and creative humans that made the music if you find anything you like. The type of music on this playlist is all over the place so diving into it will work best if you have an open mind to music.
Peace Out

Hey guys 👋
There haven’t been much activity on the channel lately. No worries, I’m not retired. I moved to a new place and the internet is not working for me yet. I will hopefully be back online within a week if everything goes as planned.

Thank you all for the sweet support I’m getting through comments, mails, music sent to me, Patreon supporters and everything in between. Running this channel is a dream come true, it really is.

See you with new music

Spotify Wrapped 2023

Here is my Spotify Wrapped for 2023. I'd say Bandcamp is my main source for music but I think Spotify is more convenient so I still use it a lot. I wanna give a special thanks to ‪@zagusljividim6142‬ for hours and hours of music this year. I would highly recommend you'll check them out.

Please share your own Wrapped, I love to see what other people listen too.

Hey!

Here's an update on my Spotify playlist "Endless Mixtape for Open Minds" for all you joyful people out there. I've been a naughty, naughty boy because my last update on this playlist was in July. It shouldn't take that long between updates so I'm sorry for that. This is a playlist where I add one track from each album uploaded on my YouTube-channel. Some albums are not available on Spotify but you'll find most of it there. 35 new tracks this time and you'll find them at the top of the playlist.

I hope you find something there that you like. It's a mix of so many genres so don't be afraid to introduce your ears to something new, it will do you good.

Adios!

I thought I share a playlist video I shared many years ago on my channel that got blocked after a few months. The video is called "5 Hours of Underrated Rock Music From the 70s" so the title kinda says what it's all about. 55 tracks included hundredes of pictures and random facts about the bands. If you want to explore the 70s heavy rock scene beyond Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, etc. I think you might enjoy this video.

You'll find the video here:

Don't get scared of the Patreon link, there's is no paywall of anything like that. Everything on my Patreon is always open for everyone.

Have fun!

I created my YouTube account back in 2006 and renamed it to Underrated Albums in the beginning of 2017. What was my first channel name?

Hola!

It's been 3 months since I wrote something in this tab so here it goes. My Spotify playlist "Endless Mixtape for Open Minds" has been updated again. 21 new tracks at the top of the list from albums I uploaded on my channel in the last couple of months. I created this playlist about four years ago and it displays a good hefty mix of what I share on my YouTube channel. It's a good shuffle fest if you want to discover some new music. Show your support to the artists if you find anything like there.

You find the playlist here:

My next compilation/playlist video (call it whatever you want) will go online on my channel tonight. This time I have explored music that had some inspiration from the Spaghetti Western in the 60s. I have always enjoyed movies and soundtracks from that era so this was a fun project to make. The video is just over 5 hours long and contains 80 tracks. You will find genres from all over the place but all of them have that old western theme common. Having 80 tracks in one video could be a copyright disaster but we'll see how it goes. Just to be clear, I'm not making money on any video on my channel. If you see some ads, that revenue will be shared between YouTube and the copyright owner. If you want to support the ones that made this video possible you'll find a tracklist and links to each artist pinned in the first comment under the video. I hope you will enjoy it.

You'll find the video here

It's been a while
Greetings and salutations friends of the channel. Months have gone by since I last made an update to my favorite playlist on Spotify, Endless Mixtape for Open Minds. Sorry for keeping you waiting. This is the playlist where I add one track from each album uploaded on the YT-channel. If you can't keep up with all the uploads, this playlist is a good way to save you some time and still get access to a sweet blend of music in all kinds of shapes and forms for your earholes. I think this playlist displays my channel in a very good way. Think of it like taking a stage dive from the moon to the earth, you won't know where you'll end up but there will be one hell of adventure you're up for. 28 new tracks this update and you'll find them at the top of the list. I haven't ranked them, just put them in an order so you'll get a good variation of music. If you find anything you like, please support those artists.

The funny thing is that this playlist/channel is very similar to the way I live my life. I don't want to "belong" to things, whether it is politics, religion or whatever. Endless Mixtape for Open Minds is just that, there is no specific type of style it depends on. Belonging to things can make you think black or white, you'd be missing out on all the other colors. Yet people feel like shit for not "belonging" to anything in life, that is a sad thought for me. My life is all about having fun while I live and that becomes way harder if you're color blind in your mind. Well, this shit got deep! You are here for the music so this is the link to the playlist:

I have also updated the "5 Hours of Relaxing Psychedelic Space Rock" playlists with tracks that weren't available on Spotify when I made them.

Thank you everyone for the overwhelming sweetness I'm receiving through comments and PM's about my channel every single day. It's cool to see so many out there enjoying what I'm doing here.

Until next time

Well hello there my friends

It's been a while since I shared some words with you. I hope you're doing well out there. Things are running smoothly as usual here at the UA office. The good music keeps coming in and I can't put in words how much I enjoy running Underrated Albums. This shit never gets old for me.

So what has happened in my channel lately? Well, I don't have too much news but I have some small things I could share. I got banned from Spotify for ONE whole day. Apparently I shared some music that belonged to them and they banned me. They didn't tell what it was or where it was shared? Everything was very vague but it was resolved very quickly at least.

I have also started up a TikTok account. I don't understand that shit at all but I'm an open minded person and have no problem adjusting as time goes by. If I can show the kids some good music through that platform, that's a win for me!

www.tiktok.com/@underratedalbums

Besides fooling around on new platforms that I merely understand, I have started working on a new compilation/playlist video (call it whatever you want) that will NOT be a psychedelic space rock video. I have just started so I'm a long way until I reach the goal. I'm not gonna say what "theme" it will be but I haven't seen that type of music together in a longer video anywhere else so it's gonna be fun to make.

My long ass playlist "Endless Mixtape for Open Minds" just got company with 22 new tracks from recent uploads on my YouTube channel. You'll find the new tracks on top of the list. There is no rank in what order I put the tracks, it's just the order I prefer to listen to them. If you find something you like there, please support the ones who created it.

open.spotify.com/playlist/0PMwJ9De0SB5dxvPNcL8hT?s…

Lastly I would like to say that I don't make any money from the music I share on my channel. If there are some ads in any video, that ad revenue will be split between YouTube and the copyright owners. There is of course not any fees for artists and bands that want to be a part of my channel. I'm working a full time job so this is a avocation that I'm doing in my spare time and I love doing it. I just wanted to make that clear so people don't think I'm making thousands of dollars doing this. Patreon is something I have but that should be the last fucking resort for anyone who wants to spend money on music they find on my channel. If you find an artist you like on my channel, go and support them directly. If you have 420 million dollars in the bank and you want to give me a few bucks after you gave your support to the musicians, sure I salute your support on my Patreon.

One last thing. If you want to submit your music to me, you can reach out to:

[email protected]

It can take a while before I can answer because I'm only human and I'm doing this alone. I have no boundaries when it comes to genres or styles of music, everything is welcomed! If I like it, I will share it, it's simple.
No matter what, I'm super grateful that music is sent to me, it's a fucking dream come true being some sort of hub in the musical universe.

Take care friends
