Hello everyone,

As my channel aims to reproduce audio and video as realistically as possible, I want to inform you about a new YouTube feature that might affect the audio realism on my channel.

By default, YouTube enables stable volume, which balances the range between quiet and loud sounds, continuously adjusting volume levels to reduce variations.

While this feature achieves YouTube's goal, it can make the audio on my videos sound unnatural if enabled. The realism of my videos comes from high dynamic range, which this feature disrupts. For the most authentic audio experience, I recommend turning off stable volume and adjusting the sound to what feels comfortable and natural.

I wanted to clarify this in case you notice any changes in audio quality and wonder if I've altered my recording methods. I have not.

Note: The global setting is only available on the YouTube mobile app and doesn't apply to all videos. Music is unaffected by this feature.

To turn off stable volume, follow these steps:

In your settings:

Tap your profile picture.
Tap Settings.
Tap General.
Turn stable volume on or off.

While watching a video:

At the top of the video, tap Settings.
Tap Additional settings.
Turn stable volume on or off.

Thank you for your attention, and I hope you continue to enjoy the realistic audio experience on my channel.

I hope that all of you are doing well!

Apologies for not posting a video last week. I've been navigating some significant life events and didn't have the time or access to my equipment to film or edit.

I did manage to film a walk two days ago, but unfortunately, I made a mistake with the manual focus, rendering the footage unusable. It’s a rare occurrence, but it does happen.

I'm planning to retry the same walk this Friday. If all goes well, I'll have the video posted a couple of days afterward. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Dear Relaxing Walks Community,

I am beyond humbled and deeply grateful to announce that we have reached a milestone of 50,000 subscribers! As of now, we are at 51,200 subscribers, with 636.0K watch hours and 6.6 million views. Your support and love have made this journey truly extraordinary.

To put it in perspective, 636.0K watch hours is equivalent to one person watching for over 72 years non-stop. This is a testament to the impact our videos have on your lives, and I am honored.

My mission is to provide an oasis from the daily rush with calming environments, nature's wonders, gentle creatures, and safe streets. Your support and feedback fuel my drive to keep creating these peaceful escapes for you.

Stay tuned for many more videos in the years to come, as we continue this journey together.

Thank you all so much!

Hello everyone,

I hope this message finds you all well.

I want to address a matter that has recently come to my attention. It appears that several TikTok users, operating under names like "American Vibes," "USA Vibes," or similar variations, have been using content from this channel. I've observed a significant uptick in traffic coming to our channel via the search term "American Vibes."

I want to clarify that these accounts are not associated with me or our community in any way. They are, in fact, reusing our copyrighted videos without permission.

Every video you see here is the result of considerable effort—investing in filming equipment, meticulous planning, traveling to locations, shooting, and editing. Without this dedication, there would be no content for them to use.

I wanted to address this to prevent any confusion and to affirm the authenticity and originality of our content. While I appreciate the inadvertent exposure these TikTok accounts have provided, we are actively working with TikTok to have the videos removed to avoid any further confusion. Additionally, we will soon be establishing our own presence on TikTok to ensure the originals are out there. Thank you for your continued support.

Exciting News! We've Reached 20,000 Subscribers!

First off, a huge thank you to all 20,112 of you who've joined our YouTube community. Your support means the world to us.

Good news: I believe I've resolved the technical issues with the driving videos. I filmed a new one today, and if YouTube successfully processes it to HDR, expect it this Thursday. We're still awaiting the full bloom of Autumn colors, but it's on the horizon. No worries though, I'm filming so many drives and walks that even if a few don't make it to HDR, many will. I'm committed to keeping our schedule!

On the equipment front, while the binaural mics I've been using offer impeccable sound, their reliability leaves much to be desired. Despite their $250.00 USD price tag, I've had to keep three pairs on hand as they tend to break every few months. I've decided to switch things up: for my walking videos, I'll be testing out the SonicPresence SP15XLR Binaural Pro Mic. Meanwhile, for the driving videos, I'm eager to try the 3DIO FS XLR, which has been gathering dust for a couple of years. Its recording quality is phenomenal. The challenge now is to devise a mount for it inside our F150's cab placing it further away from us. An added bonus? Unlike the mics I've been using, which attach directly to my ears (capturing even the slightest breath), this promises a more relaxed recording experience.

Stay tuned, and once again, thank you for being a part of this journey!

Dear Subscribers,

I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to provide an update regarding our usual upload schedule. We usually aim for one driving video and one walking video every Thursday. However, due to some technical challenges with my equipment and delays in YouTube's processing of Rec.2020 (HDR), the driving videos have been temporarily delayed.

Releasing videos without HDR processing being completed can sometimes lead to them never being updated to HDR quality. If that happens, I'd have to remove them, which isn’t ideal for the channel. Rest assured, I'm working diligently over the weekend to resolve the technical issues on my end. Plus, I'll be recording a stockpile of driving and walking videos to ensure consistent uploads, even if there's a delay in YouTube's HDR processing.

Your patience and support mean the world to us. Wishing you all the best, and thank you for being a vital part of our community. 💙

Hello dear subscribers,

We recently experimented with our latest walking video. Unlike our usual content, this time, we ventured closer to commercial areas both at the beginning and the end. In addition, we included some ambient sounds like sirens and a motorcycle, which we typically (but not always) edit out for a more peaceful experience. Our goal has always been to provide a more relaxing ambiance, but we also understand the curiosity of exploring beyond our usual routes.

We value your feedback and would love to hear your thoughts. Thank you for helping us shape our content!:

Unfortunately, there's a delay with this week's walking video due to some HDR processing issues on YouTube's side. I've encountered this with several of my recent uploads, encompassing all my walks and a few driving videos.

If there's no progress in the next few days, I'll share an alternative driving video for you to enjoy. Thanks for your patience!
