As a dietitian before cancer, I dedicated myself to helping others overcome eating disorders, always aiming to uplift and empower them. I used to picture myself as a Care Bear—full of rainbows and hearts—sharing love and strength with everyone I met.

But when I started my own cancer journey, something incredible happened. Every person I’ve ever known—friends, clients, colleagues—linked arms and gave me the Care Bear stare back. I could actually feel their love and support, like a warm, tingly sensation, disintegrating the cancer within me.

I can’t explain it scientifically, but I truly believe that love was the key ingredient in my fight. It wasn’t just about killing cancer; it was about love carrying me through each day.

From meal trains to finding the best clinical trials, my community rallied around me in ways I could never have imagined. One friend, whom I hadn’t seen in 15 years, found the best ovarian cancer trial in the world for me, right here in my home country. She truly became an angel in my journey.

I’m forever grateful for the love, courage, and resilience shared with me by so many. It’s a reminder that sometimes, it’s not just the medical treatments, but the love and support we receive that make all the difference. 💖

Every single goal you have comes with a price that must be paid to achieve it. Consider it an entry fee at the door of success.

When discussing goals, the real question becomes:

“What are you willing to give up to get it?”

So, the next time you’re setting goals with your nutrition clients (or for yourself), stop and ask this question:

“What am I willing to sacrifice to get what I want?”

Once you know the answer to that question, you'll understand the price of admission to the thing you want most.

Remember, people buy things and services to help themselves feel better.

Demonstrate your value by showing how you help people just like them overcome these emotional lows to regain their peace of mind, improve their health, and find the financial stability they crave.

By addressing these deep-seated emotional needs, you can connect with your ideal customers on a profound level and offer them the solutions they desperately seek.

There are a gazillion things you could be working on—health, finances, parenting, relationships—it’s endless when it comes to self-improvement.

Pick just one thing to focus on:

✅ Be consistent (80%+)
✅ Maintain focus
✅ Actively ignore distractions
✅ Finish it all the way

“I should be doing more” in all areas is the death of progress.

Have laser-sharp focus. Go deep. Improve one thing at a time.

Be okay with leaving other things untouched. Add them to the list for later (or never).

Hit your goals, watch your life improve, and your stress and overwhelm decrease.

🌱 Continuous improvement is better than delayed perfection.

In nutrition. 🥗
In fitness. 🏋️‍♂️
At work. 💼
In stress management. 🧘‍♀️
In our relationships. ❤️
In life. 🌟

Please release yourself from the chains of perfectionism.

Embrace taking action now, as imperfect as it may be.

What’s the next smallest healthy step forward towards your goals?

xo, Jen

Awards that don’t exist (but you’re trying to win anyways):
• Most perfect.
• Never said no.
• Didn’t need help.
• Rested the least.
• Worked the longest.
• Didn’t make any mistakes.
• Met everyone’s expectations.

It’s time to let that pressure go.
