I recently posted a sponsored video about the Xsolla Partner Network (youtube.com/shorts/mc6Gpje9r8E). I’ve noticed a lot of negative feedback, and I want to address this.
To give you some context, I’ve been part of their affiliate program for a few years and have consistently had positive experiences. The earnings from this partnership have been a significant support for this channel. In affiliate programs like Xsolla’s, I talk about products or services (like in this beginner tutorial on Figma: https://youtu.be/ezldKx-jPag), and I earn a commission if someone signs up through my link. This doesn't change the price you pay. I always disclose these relationships clearly.
Xsolla offered to sponsor a video where I share my experiences and explain how to join their affiliate program. I accepted because of the tangible benefits their program has brought to my channel and because affiliate income is a vital source of funding for content creators. However, the video did not resonate as intended and did not communicate well.
Sponsorships are critical to making a channel like this work, but moving forward, I’ll implement a better review system to ensure content continues to meet your expectations and interests.
