We returned to one of our favourite places in the world, Deep Well Studios a cabin in the wood in Washington. We'd written our first EP there and thought it would be nice to reconnect there after our break, and start this new project.
The beauty of this place is insane - you're surrounded by mighty trees, deers, silence and butterflies. We started so many of the songs that you hear on the album there. Ephemera, Everything, All You See, Start Again.
Even though we were struggling at the time to figure out exactly what we wanted to make, that place made it's impact on us.
We're always grateful to TJ Morris who gave us the chance to do this back in 2013, and again in 2018. He let us into his space and said 'someone gave me a change when I was younger and I want to do the same for you' - and that chance changed everything.
We're reallllly happpyyy about how much you all love Cleave! Thank you for all of the sweet messages comments, phone calls and support in all forms. We're taking the album on tour in the USA in less than 2 weeks (aahhhhh!!!) tickets at vallisalps.komi.io
