"Medicating Normal", feature length documentary, 76 minutes
Combining cinema veritĂ© and investigative journalism, "Medicating Normal" follows the journey of five Americans â a newly married couple, an army combat veteran, a student, and a waitress. All suffered from problems that used to be considered part of the normal fluctuations of human emotionâmild depression, anxiety, sleeplessnessâand all but one were seriously debilitated by the psychoactive drugs commonly prescribed to treat these issues.
"Medicating Normal" is the untold story of what can happen when profit-driven medicine intersects with human beings in distress.
