My favorite garden assistant is very happy right now. He pulled out his old Bird Jersey for luck, and it worked!! The Celtics get their 18th banner. 🏀 🏆 🍀☘️ Fun fact, George isn't only handy in the garden, he's also great at basketball and was an all-star as a kid! He made the paper and all 💚

I wanted to take a moment to thank you all so much for the response on my last 2 videos. Y'all are the best, we are so grateful for you all who watch, and comment on our videos. We love reading your comments. Thank you all for all of your support 💚 Hope you are all well and enjoying your summer in your gardens 🌱-Steph

Happy Easter Friends! I wish you all a beautiful blessed day surrounded by anything or anyone that makes you happy. George and I are hosting our family. We have 20 or so people coming to lunch in just a few minutes. And in true hostess fashion, I am just getting in the shower now. But, all the food is done and keeping warm. We are serving ham, roasted carrots, garlic mash potatoes, Portuguese Kale soup, rolls, and my chocolate cheesecake squares for dessert. Of course, there will be more with everyone bringing a dish or dessert. It helps the host so much when everyone brings a little something. Takes the pressure off and makes the day, and kitchen duty less stressful and enjoyable. If you would like the recipe to my roasted carrots or chocolate chip cheesecake squares, comment below, and I can share the video with you. I took the weekend off from posting a video to prepare for the holiday. I'll be back with some videos this week. In the meantime, I did post a video a couple of days ago about potting up and fertilizing my seedlings we started last month. Spoiler alert, I bought more seeds 😜. Have a wonderful weekend everyone, and thank you so much for being part of the hooked and rooted community. I am so thankful for you all. -Steph 🌱💚

Hi Garden Friends! Quick update on my seedlings I started indoor. 3 days and we have marigold seedlings!! 🙌🌱 I sowed these on 2/8. I posted the video yesterday, and I just checked on them, and we have sprouts. I was so excited I had to share with all of my YouTube friends that would share in my excitement. George and the boys are watching the Super Bowl, but I was on seedling watch 😆 I did make a game day dinner of homemade Buffalo chicken tenders, and potato skins. Does anyone own these vintage Corelle dishes? Hope you all have a wonderful week! -Steph 🌱

Hi gardening friends! Here's an update on the Amaryllis we planted with gardening friends Maureeen  @Parsonspeonies  & Kate  @peoniesandpalomas  back at the end of November. Theirs finally bloomed, and mine is on its way! Here are some photos. Maureens in the galvanized tin planter is called "Double Doublet" and bloomed first. Next up was Kates in the glass bowl vase called "Double Giant Amadeus". The last photo is mine in the white planter, and I'm still waiting on "Dancing Queen" 💃 to bloom 🌱
Have a great week, everyone!! -Steph

Good Afternoon Garden Friends! I hope that your year is off to a great start. I want to thank all of you who purchased my hats. I was overwhelmed with gratitude to sell out of them so quickly. It took me a couple of weeks to restock on yarn and pom poms, and I have another stack that is ready to ship if anyone else is looking to add a new hat to their winter wardrobe. The cost of the hats is $40 + 7 shipping for a total of $47. If your interested, I have posted the photos of the colors available below, along with how many of each I have. To purchase, please send me an email at [email protected] with your color selection, and I will send you an PayPal payment request.

We are in the thick of winter here in New England. We've had snow twice over the last week. While I'm very much looking forward to Spring and getting out in my gardens, we're settling into a nice cozy routine of hanging out on the couch, George & I with Rocco each evening after dinner with some cozy blankets. Rocco LOVES the warm blankets, and being sandwiched between his humans! I've been using this time to crochet, read (currently reading: The Well Gardened Mind -The Restorative Power of Nature by Sue Stuart-Smith), catching up on Netflix series (Call the midwife & Virgin River). I'm also already dreaming up plans for my garden this season. What are you doing to pass these winter months? any favorite books, shows, or even hobbies that you have for winter months when we can't be out in the garden? -Steph

My hats are now available! I have limited quantities in the colors I've listed below. The photos show the color names. The cost is $40 (plus $7 for shipping with tracking). I understand that this price might seem high for a hat, but this is something that is handcrafted. My break down on cost and time is: material $12 and 3 hours of labor. While I'm not making much on these hats, I love to create them. The material is quality acrylic and it is soft. The faux fur pom pom is attached with a snap, so that it can be easily removed for washing the hat.

If you are interested in one of my hats, please email me at: [email protected] with your color selection, and I will reply with a PayPal Invoice. Due to limited quantities, I will have to offer these on a first come first serve basis. Thank you so much for your interest, Steph

Colors & quantities currently available:

Houston Cream x 3
Chicago Charcoal x3
Aspen Tweed x 3
Honey x 2

Dallas Gray *sold-out
Taupe Twist *sold-out
Napa Valley Pinot *sold-out

Hi Garden Friends! I noticed the Fetch app is giving a better sign up and referral bonus for the next several days. This is an app I use to scan any receipt to earn 25 points (some receipts/purchases are worth more). Once you accumulate a certain number of points, you can cash those in for e gift cards. I've used this app for about 2 years now and have already earned about 4 gift cards. It's super easy, and you just have to snap a photo of your receipt to earn points. You can even sync your walmart.com or Amazon accounts and earn points for e receipts. I thought I would share since I'm pretty frugal and have enjoyed using this myself. Also, we have extra receipts this time of year, so why not earn points toward gift cards? I have the link for Fetch in the description of my videos and will add the referral code here in case anyone is interested. The special promo (extra points) ends 12/6. Once you join, find a receipt, any receipt you might have in your purse or pocket and take a photo of it on the app to start earning your points. It's that easy. Thank you, and I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! -Steph

Come save money on Fetch with me! Sign up w/ code 3UWAVR & get 500 pts: referral.fetch.com/vvv3/referralsocial?code=3UWAVR. See you there!

Hi Garden Friends! We are a week away from Thanksgiving! I host each year, and preparations of menus and such have begun over here. Tell me, do you host, or go somewhere? And what's your favorite Thanksgiving dish or side? Mine is my sisters sweet potato casserole and my moms Portuguese stuffing. I made this video last year creating a Thanksgiving centerpiece out of cuttings from my garden. I'll leave the link here in case you're looking to craft something for your Thanksgiving centerpiece. Also, here's a photo of the arrangement from 2 years ago. I wish you all a Thanksgiving full of blessings, health, and love 💚
