Ben achieved superstar status as the lead role in âDear Evan Hansen.â The NY Times lauded him as a âbreakout star,â and he went on to receive the 2017 Tony Award for âBest Actor in a Musical.â Other honors included âBest Musical Theater Albumâ at the 2018 GRAMMY Awards and âOutstanding Musical Performance in a Daytime Programâ at the Daytime EMMY Awards.
In 2017 he joined forces with Lin-Manuel Miranda to craft âFound/Tonightâ benefiting the âMarch for Our Livesâ movement. Ben delivers confessional lyricism by way of soulful intimacy on his 2019 debut, âSing To Me Instead.â
