The CURSE OF BEING AN AVERAGE STUDENT!
I have never been an academically gifted child, I had to work extremely hard even if I had to get decent grades.
If someone can understand a concept in one or two reads I might need 4-5 reads .
If someone can develop mcq solving ability by solving 50 mcq daily I have to do 100 mcq daily .
I am not complaining I have chosen this path and its okay.
When I started this journey of NEET PREP I used to score 80-90 corrects out of 200.
All the average students know the struggle of breaking all the plateau and reaching 140+ corrects. In the last 1.5 years I must have solved more than a 1 lakh mcqs just to master it and get over the fear of mcq examination.
It’s taken every bit of effort from my body to reach a point where I could score decent enough.
I am never fascinated to become a ALL INDIA RANKER , that was and will never be my goal .
I have a life full of possibilities and I want to explore it all .
But the question that I have now is , my efforts were honest , my performance in a tough examination was good .
Can’t I just expect transparency with the results?
I never expected top AIR but being an average and extremely hardworking student shouldn’t I get the rank that my marks deserve?
Can’t I get to see my results with full transparency?
Why is there so much injustice in each and every step of this examination.
I can just be hopeful that things change and transparency is provided. I have lost all the trust from the education system of INDIA.
To all my fellow mates , don’t lose hope this system is a failure and we are not at fault.
India will lose out on passionate doctors.

So finally the chapter of NEET PG is finally over.
I have secured a rank of 37,570 this year , I have tried my best and this was indeed my best shot .
I was completely off content creation for last 1.5 years because I wanted to focus and give my best.
Honestly I was expecting anything under 15k . Didn’t expect this massive shift of ranks. In recall I was getting 138-140 corrects in the evening shift. I just hope whatever normalisation has been done is fair and I wish I get to see my score card.
But again even if that would have happened, I would have still trusted GOD’s plan.
I am passionate to study medicine but my rank is no where close to get into it.
To be honest my family can bear private institutes MD but honestly studying from a private medical college with already a heavy investment on my head I no longer see any point to invest such a heavy amount in pursuing PG.
I am passionate for studying medicine , helping and treating people and would continue to do so in the future.
But let me tell you what a roller coaster this NEET 24 journey has been. It has transformed me beyond imagination, given me perspectives about life which are unmatched.
Pic 1 - So first things first , neet pg and results are already in the past and there’s absolutely no point in cribbing now.
If it was your best shot, just accept and move on.

Pic 2 - probably first time in my life I was so dedicated in making my own notes and 20th book. Lol irony is in evening shift I barely found 5-6 questions from this entire high yield wall

Pic 3 - Amidst all the postponement and delays got diagnosed with “GENERALISED ANXIETY DISORDER”. Took SSRI for 4-5 months and honestly in a much better place now . I used to feel having anxiety is so common but this time it was at par, I have seen what overthinking beyond imagination feels like, getting treatment was the only solution. And I am glad I got it treated .

Pic -4 : MENTAL BREAKDOWNS , I haven’t cried this much in my entire life as much as in these last 2 years. I guess I had put a lot of pressure on myself which was unnecessary.
But anyways crying does make you feel better, Lol.

Pic -5 : With the OG, the GOAT ,Dr. Zainab Vora. My rank won’t do justice to the amount of value and knowledge she has added in my life.
Post internship I had lost interest in this field, but It was Btr which helped me understand everything in the easiest possible way. Learning in an integrated manner helped me reignite my passion for medicine.
Studying from Ma’am was just like studying from your class topper or senior.
I thoroughly enjoyed her jokes and the way she teaches.

They are the ones whom I can blindly say are just one call away. Without these two I could never survive this phase .
Sometimes you feel it’s just you who is going through shit,
But your friends and family are equally going through the same. After all they want you to win .

Pic 7 - Messaged Rujuta midnight just after the exam day.
These 1.5 years of prep helped me understand what I don’t exactly want in life .
So now “PLAN B” is the only way to go ahead.
I could have followed the plan B last year too, but I would have felt I did it just because I am running away from things or may be because of adversity.
But this time it’s not the same case and I am pretty confident about my “PLAN B”.

I am happy I worked hard , I am happy I fought against all odds .
If despite doing everything you are unable to get where you want , it’s time to redirect yourself and try even harder .
