๐ Big news, friends! After 6+ years, Sunday Snippets is getting a makeover.
Say hello to LifeNotes - same great content, fresh new vibe. Here's the story behind the change ๐
I was reading 'Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance' by Robert M. Pirsig.
I got really interested in the way itโs written. The author calls it Chautauqua: a mix of travel stories and deep thoughts about life.
This writing style reminded me of Derren Brown's 'Notes from a Fellow Traveller', where he shares insights as a stage performer without positioning himself as a guru.
It's like reading a really interesting published personal diary.
These books got me thinking: What if I wrote something similar? A series of mini-books about my life experiences and lessons learned.
And then it hit me, that's what my email newsletter is like and what I've been doing for the past 6 years: taking notes on life and sharing them with you, a fellow traveler.
But then I thought โwait a minute - why donโt I rebrand the whole newsletter to LifeNotes? Thatโs a cooler name than Sunday Snippets, and feels more exciting and aligned with where I want to take the newsletterโ.
That's how Sunday Snippet became LifeNotes. And it's giving me a fresh perspective on this weekly email journey.
So, what's changing with LifeNotes?
A few key things:
1. Flexibility: No more Sunday-only posts
2. Expanded content: More raw notes from books, podcasts, and conversations
3. Cadence: Aiming for weekly, but prioritising quality over strict schedule.
4. More personal: Like an email straight from my inbox to yours
Looking ahead, who knows? LifeNotes could become a book, a journaling app, or something else entirely. For now, I'm focused on making this newsletter a fun space to share ideas you'll hopefully find useful.
