Happy solstice yogis! I’m taking a little summer break, resting and frolicking in the mountains with friends and family.

There's no new video this weekend, so instead I'll share my favorite way to melt into an at-home retreat! This restorative yin practice uses a bolster, which helps the body relase tension and melt into a blissfully relaxed state. If you don't have a yoga bolster, it's easy to substitute with a firm cushion from the back of your sofa.

I've just shared a new mindful yin yoga practice that's designed to release tension in the whole body while relaxing the mind. 🌊̼̼☀️🏝️ This video was filmed in Baja California Sur and is accompanied by a soundscape of seabirds and ocean waves. 🌵🏜️ I'm wrapping up an epic 6-week RV adventure here with my love. We've been living close to the elements of sun, wind and sea, roaming the desert landscape and enjoying a sense of newness in every beautiful spot. 🚐💕 We've grown deeper in our commitment to one another while also learning to navigate the challenges of living in a small box on wheels! I've filmed 7 or 8 classes during this journey and I look forward to sharing more of them with you in the coming weeks. 😃🌈

I'm finishing the edits on a new practice video - 45 Min Restorative Yin With A Bolster - which will be posted tomorrow morning! It'll be an ultra relaxing supported stretch. Do you have a yoga bolster at home? If not, try stacking two bed pillows on top of one another, or use a cushion from the back of your sofa. See you then!

Satisfied. I just posted the final video to the 30 Day Yin Yoga Challenge – what an incredible journey! It's been an enormous undertaking that has filled most of my waking hours for the past two months, but the response has been phenomenal with 2,500 yogis following every day and my YouTube channel brimming at 20K subscribers. I feel so nourished and privileged to share this program with the global community of yin yogis, all on the sacred path of self-discovery and self-care.

If you haven't tried it yet, don't fret! The challenge is free, and it doesn't stop today – it's for all of 2024. It'll remain on YouTube and at The Yin Studio, where you can savor it at your own pace throughout the year. Whether you start on day 1 or day 20, the flexibility is yours. Choose the sessions that resonate with you, or follow the 30 classes in sequence.

Each day's 30-minute practice is easy to follow, and thoughtfully crafted to release tension from the body, calm the nervous system, and reset the brain. The challenge weaves together the threads of yin yoga and meditation, with each day's theme rooted in a verse from The Radiance Sutras. This text holds a special place in my heart for its expansive approach to meditation. The tantric practices within the sutras encourage us to embrace our thoughts and feelings while guiding us to explore the sensual energies that arise when we turn our attention inward.

You'll find the full playlist at the Devi Daly Yoga channel on YouTube and at The Yin Studio.

What's next? The February schedule at The Yin Studio starts tomorrow with 4 classes a week, including a livestream yin class next Tuesday. I'll also resume my weekly schedule of uploading to YouTube. And yin yoga teacher training begins Feb 20!

Thanks to all of you who've been following this journey to the yin-side – I love receiving your support and comments! I'll share some highlighted comments below.

FROM THE YOGIS:

"I am following this challenge for the first time at 62 years old. I heard about this from the Yoga with Adrienne Kula. It is now an every-night-must-do-ritual. My body doesn't feel achy as I get into bed or the next morning. Amazing practice!" – TW, Day 11

"I have been doing the daily practice before bed each night and sleeping like a baby." – CF, Day 14

"After each yoga session in this challenge I say well, this has been the best one so far." – KD, Day 26

"I didn’t want this to end! On my mat observing the blizzarding, dancing, whirling snow outside, mirroring my internal energy dancing and whirling at the close of the practice and I am here breathing, just breathing and watching and smiling." – RO | Day 17

"These short sessions are incredibly healing ❤️‍🩹. Instead of the usually fired up vinyasa style I’ve committed to slower paced practices in the morning. It’s reminding me to enter the day slowly mindfully grounded and peaceful." – KP, Day 15

"I am so enjoying this challenge and find myself planning each days schedule to make sure I don’t miss one."
– KV, Day 15

"This class was so good ! The wall asanas really gave a good stretch to my legs and back . Felt so peaceful at the end." – RM, Day 15

"I've been looooving this 'challenge' so far! I was doing yin on and off last year - but I can really feel the difference in my body by doing yin consistently. – BT, Day 14

"Wonderful grounding mindful full body experience. The short meditation on the chakras was perfectly timed to bring such a mindful movement of prana." – KP, Day 9

"I love the use of yoga props. Such a wonderful way to work into the poses." – LMG Day 10

"Absolutely love this 30 day challenge. I look forward to the new video every day! It's helping me work through some stuck, old emotional stuff I didn't know was still there! This is so healing. I love connecting with myself on a deeper level." – GDA, Day 11

"I really appreciated the more intense poses in this class😊 The rebound after frog was absolutely necessary, I felt sensations up to my sternum !" – KMK, Day 19

"My absolute favourite so far! I was so tired after a hard day at work on my feet, so this was just what I needed. Had been missing wall poses, so this was perfect timing! This is one I will do again and again! It's on my favourite list." – GDA, Day 15

"I loved this one! Cat's tail felt so good after my workout today!" – JF, Day 12

"wow! I loved this soo much. Was really able to relax into all the poses by using bolster and wall with a lot more ease. I feel wonderful after this!" – AT, Day 15

What a journey it's been creating the 30 Day Yin Yoga Challenge this month. Over 2,500 yogis have joined, and I’m honored to share this sacred practice with so many people from around the world.

If you haven't tried any of the classes yet, it’s not too late to get started! The challenge extends beyond this month, so you can savor it at your own pace throughout the year. Start at day 1, day 10 or day 15. Take 30 classes in 30 days, spread it out over 3 months, or dip into whichever classes appeal to you. The choice is yours.

Each day’s 30 minute practice is designed to release tension from the body while rewiring the brain and calming the nervous system.

The challenge offers a tapestry of yin yoga and meditation, and each session's theme is rooted in a verse from The Radiance Sutras. This is a text that’s dear to my heart for its expansive approach to meditation. The tantric practices of the sutras help us to embrace our thoughts and feelings while guiding us to explore the sensual energies that arise on the mat.

The first 20 classes are posted, and a new class is being added each day until the end of January.
