This is a luxury I bring along for my travels, and it's worth every ounce of weight/space it takes up (which luckily, isn't too much given what it is). It's a portable waterproof (super high-quality) blutooth speaker! Great for creating ambiance, listening to podcasts and music wherever I go.

The other day a viewer asked me about the best personal item bag if you are traveling with camera gear. Peak Design is renowned for their camera accessories and bags, and their Everyday Totepack has these ingenious customizeable folders that allow you to configure it to fit whatever you need...including lenses and other photography tidbits.

I don't carry camera equiprment, but I have used this pack as my personal item bag on quite a few trips. Check out the bag here: peak-design.pxf.io/qnernq

Have you ever wondered how your quality of sleep varies or differs when you travel?

How about your fitness levels? How many steps are you actually getting in while wandering the streets of your destination?

Interested in understanding how and when caffeine can help you adjust your circadian rhythm to a new time zone and boost creativity and productivity?

Did you know that stress can be a good thing at certain times of day? Would you like to learn how to control and harness it for good?

These are a few of the unique features that the Ultrahuman Ring AIR can help you with. I’ve been testing it out for the past couple of months, changing time zones and giving it a thorough beating.

Although I got mine for free (full disclosure), here are a few reasons I would pay to get one:

🔋 The battery lasts for days, so it can track both daytime and nighttime activities. (My Apple Watch by contrast, needs charging every night so I can’t get sleep insights.)

📈 You not only get a ton of data on sleep, heart rate, movement, etc - but then that data is interpreted for you and you receive actionable insights that can improve your life and routine daily.

☕️ For example, the app tells me when the optimal times are each day to consume caffeine; when I can start, and also when I should start tapering off. This changes each day depending on how and when I slept the night before.

🧘‍♀️ I got a nudge the other day to do a specific breathing exercise to help adjust my heart rate, rest, and reduce my stress because it was out of whack for the time of day. In five minutes I fixed the problem and felt much better!

💪 In fact, there is an entire library of breathing exercises, meditations, workouts, podcasts, and much more that you can choose from depending on your goal in that moment (from weight loss to taking a mid-day break and everything in between).

⏰ When I’m changing time zones, the Circadian Phase alignment helps me get on track by encouraging me to get bright light exposure at certain times of day, when to exercise, etc.

🤝 It syncs with other fitness trackers and apps like Strava, Apple Watch/Workout, and more!

🤑 And, drum roll please….unlike other rings on the market, there are no subscription fees (and it’s cheaper overall)!

There is a lot more I could say about the Ultrahuman Ring AIR. I’ve owned various fitness trackers, and this is by far my fav so far.
It is also a fairly new product, and they are releasing new developments and features all the time! Just when I think it can’t get better, it does.

I have been a lifelong sufferer of debilitating ear pain almost every time the plane descends. For a career traveler, this is NOT a good thing.

In this week's video, I go through a bunch of ways to pop your ears on a plane – some of which are common knowledge, others, not so much. For me, only two of these methods work, one of which I stumbled on by accident.

I also demonstrate some tools designed to help acute suffers (like me), one of which is my magic bullet that I now never fly without.

Ear Pain When Flying? Try These 10 Ear Popping Hacks! [new video]
