Thanks to everyone who attended, contributed, and/or supported my inaugural Dr Webb Health Career Day. We had nearly 100 students registered🤯 If I must say, it was a success!

Spine Surgeons, Dr Edionwe and Dr. Webb simultaneously working on a complex spine revision surgery.
Dr. Webb works by performing a prone transpsoas interbody fusion (PTP) while Dr. Edionwe works by performing the spinal exposure and laminectomy. They conclude the surgery by revising the patients hardware and placing pedicle screws.
Multiple studies have shown that spine surgery complications increase with the duration of case, estimated blood loss, and use of transfusions, as well as in certain high-risk populations or those requiring complex revision work. Dual-surgeon cases have been shown to decrease estimated blood loss, transfusion rate, surgical times, and therefore complication rates.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Interventional Pain Management Physician to join our growing practice. The ideal candidate will be board-certified or board-eligible in Anesthesiology or Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PMR), as well as board-certified or board-eligible in Pain Medicine (American Board of Anesthesiology). This full-time position offers the opportunity to work in an outpatient clinic setting Monday through Friday, with a mix of procedure days and consult days.
Position Details:
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Anesthesia or PMR.
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Pain Medicine (ABA).
- Must have or will apply for a Texas medical license.
- Must have or will apply for DEA certification.
- Full-time position in an outpatient clinic, Monday through Friday.
- Mix of procedure days and consult days.
- Collaborate with orthopedic spine surgeons and other pain physicians.
- Large volume of referrals both within the practice and from the community.
- 4 weeks of vacation.
- No call.
Responsibilities:
- Perform interventional pain procedures including but not limited to epidural steroid injections, nerve blocks, radiofrequency ablation, and spinal cord stimulation.
- Evaluate and diagnose patients with acute and chronic pain conditions.
- Develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs.
- Collaborate with other members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters.
Qualifications:
- Medical degree from an accredited medical school.
- Completion of an accredited residency program in Anesthesiology or PMR.
- Fellowship training in Pain Medicine preferred but not required.
- Valid medical license in the state of Texas or eligibility to obtain one.
- DEA certification or eligibility to obtain one.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.

Dr. Antonio Webb is a board certified and fellowship trained Orthopedic Spine Surgeon located in San Antonio, Texas who specializes in degenerative, artificial disc replacement, and minimally invasive spine surgery.
Dr. Webb is a highly decorated combat veteran who spent 8 years in the US Air Force as a medic/LVN including a deployment north of Baghdad, Iraq in 2005. His medical training also afforded him the opportunity to perform surgery in Liberia, West Africa, Bangkok, Thailand, and Port Au Prince Haiti.
Dr. Webb completed a combined Neurosurgery/Orthopedic Spine Surgery fellowship at Texas Back Institute. TBI was the first practice in America to implant an artificial disc replacement. He took the best practices from all his mentors to formulate his own unique approach to spine care believing that conservative treatment is the ultimate goal, using surgery only as a final and last resort.
