In this breathwork meditation, I address the various emotions that arise when things don't go as planned. You're probably here because you might feel frustrated, angry, disappointed, discouraged, hopeless, anxious, or confused. If that's the case, then this practice is for you. This is an easy 8-minute guided breathwork meditation practice for all levels, with some moments of silence, affirmation, and gentle witnessing. This practice is designed to help you cultivate a sense of serenity (sosiego) even when things don't go as planned. Enjoy!

In this session, I combine the power of Yoga Nidra and Pranayama (breath control) to help your body and mind achieve deep rest. I'll guide you through various stages to regulate and relax your nervous system. You'll practice different Pranayamas, accompanied by moments of extended silence. Gradually, we'll work our way to Dr. Weil's 4-7-8 breathing method, rooted in Pranayama, to overcome fluctuations of the mind and enter a state of deep mental and physical rest. The session includes a moment for witnessing the self as well as a gradual transition to end the practice. You can practice sitting or lying down. The session is voice only. Enjoy!

Follow along for 10 minutes, as we breathe deeply, slow down, and reconnect with ourselves. We'll be using deep chest and belly breathing, slowing down the pace of our exhales as we progress. I hope this practice gives you the needed space to embrace slowing down, whether it's to take a break from the daily grind or a sense of urgency, or simply because. Enjoy!

Hi friends, I'm pretty sick and bedridden right now and have been for the past couple of days. I have an exciting Yoga Nidra video all about deep rest almost ready. So, I'll postpone it to next week since my body needs my complete attention. I hope this decision can also be inspiring for you to take the "Sosiego" your body and mind are needing.

Below is a video to keep you practicing in the meantime. I wish you all joy and health.

Stay well and centered. πŸ’šπŸ’š

Experiencing moral injury and burnout is incredibly challenging, especially when it's caused by our environment. While the root causes of moral injury/burnout may still remain after this session, and institutions are responsible for addressing systemic issues, I hope this simple practice gives you an opportunity to take a little break, find your center amid systemic and cultural chaos, and cultivate inner peace. Whether you are a health care worker, a veteran, or anyone impacted by burnout or workplace stress, this practice is for you.
